I clicked the button of the laser pointer to bring up the first slide of the power point and NOTHING! Would this be a good time for me to freak out like I usually do when this happens? Probably not. By God's Grace, I remained calm and asked for someone to go let the young man know I was having technical difficulty. In the meantime, I continued telling the story. The young man could have felt trapped in a full room of women but, I could tell he was taking in the story while he was working to resolve the computer issue. A dead battery was the culprit but, with the power cord...or let's say... "Power of God" I was back on track.
I loved the statement made afterwards, "I've never been to a quilt'in meet'in where I want to shout Amen!"
Claudia shared with me that she had stepped outside her own comfort zone when she said yes to planning the upcoming Mother Daughter Banquet for her church. Women she had contacted in hopes of speaking at their banquet had all been unavailable. She asked in hopeful anticipation if I could share The Immanuel Quilt with them. With some schedule juggling on her part I was able to accept her invitation. So another road trip coming soon. I wonder if Linton's neighboring town has a sign, "You'll Like Dugger Too?"
Many people came up to me and made comments that confirmed God is using this quilt to stir in others a desire to want to know Him more. Praise be to God!
