I like butterflies. I really do… just not fluttering around inside my stomach. I imagine they were with me because it was the beginning of something new – speaking as a Stonecroft Ministries speaker.
Butterflies remind me of something else. A new creation. The butterfly does not start out as a beautiful creature. God transforms lowly caterpillars who have been stuck on the ground. They have been born into the butterfly family but have not discovered the mystery of life within them.
God has given me wings as a butterfly to travel as a speaker for Stonecroft Ministries to share the love, joy, and hope of Jesus Christ in the Immanuel Quilt.
I easily get lost when traveling. I have read butterflies never lose their way. It doesn’t matter how tough our journeys are, we don’t have to lose our way. We have a Leader we can follow who will lead the way, maybe into something wonderfully new.
The story of every butterfly begins with, “Once upon a time there was a caterpillar….”
so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding,
in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.
