I'm Joni. I am a self-proclaimed story-teller who loves to tell the stories of what God is doing. He is constantly at work making His presence known in our lives.
I gave my life to Jesus at the age of thirteen. Since that time I have witnessed amazing accounts of His involvement in my life. Perhaps, the first being the most wonderful, when He chose who I would marry and gave me a dream to show me who it would be. You may read about the unique way God united me and my husband, Tom together by reading our Love Story. Not only can you read our story, but you can listen to it too. For our thirtieth wedding anniversary I had our story put to song and Life of Love was my gift to him. We've now been married thirty-six years and are still in love and going strong.
These days, I am on an unexpected journey traveling with God. The idea for the Immanuel Quilt, and to begin a traveling ministry, was given to me in a dream. Have you ever heard that God calls on the most unlikely people to carry out His assignments? That was me. I wondered why on earth God would choose a girl with a fear of traveling for a traveling ministry! But in taking a look into my past I was able to see that this was the very role He'd been preparing me for my entire life.
I am humbled to have been chosen by God for the making of this unusual quilt and for the opportunity of witnessing others see Jesus through it. The Immanuel Quilt tells His Story.
I am a happy wife, grateful mom, proud grandmother, enthusiastic storyteller, novice quilter, compulsive researcher, vivid dreamer, creative crafter, gingerbread collector, and blogger and author of the Immanuel Quilt.
