The Miracle Quilt

5/12/2015

Danville Christian Church, Danville, Indiana
Danville Christian church is a beautiful 100+ year old church just west of the town's square in Hendricks County Indiana.   I enjoyed learning some of the history of the church that is recorded in a unique hand-embroidered quilt displayed in the  fellowship area.
Women had preserved the history of their church in a piece of quilted art.  They had created a treasure.  The Immanuel Quilt is also a treasure.  It is the quilt that was inspired and designed by God.  Quilters present recognized this truth.  A miracle quilt they called it, since invisible thread had been used for both sides of the quilt; something that is not suppose to be possible.

I was unaware using invisible thread to stitch both sides of the quilt is not recommended.  It can ruin a sewing machine.  However, these women knew were more accomplished quilters than myself and they knew that fact.  Yet, because I had no problems with it, they were able to see God was with me making it, thus, the miracle quilt

How has God worked miracles in your life?  Do you recognize his hand upon your life?
